Bus service in Mapusa goes from bad to worse

Local buses are one of the most essential services of our life. Mapusa has a lot of people who travel by bus to their homes, colleges, work. I'm one of them not able to reach on time to St Xavier’s college. It affects me and other students of schools and colleges because sometimes students are unable to attend classes. The bus timings have really gone gone for a toss in the past few months. Similar problems for residents of Ekta Nagar, Housing Board, Ganeshpuri not getting buses on time as they have to wait for that one bus for 2-3 hours in the hot sun. After waiting for hours, the bus gets loaded this also leads to accidents and the matter gets complicated when the drivers and conductors do not stop the bus at the bus stop.. The locals get upset and angry because of bus time issues and few buses. Besides Saturday and Sunday, the buses do not ply properly on other days also. Therefore I request the Mapusa MLA to look into the matter and take urgent remedial action. More buses should be plying on the roads.

Why can’t…
