Last September when suddenly 8 MLAs defected from Congress Party to join ruling BJP, neither the 3 times elected senior member of BJP Nilesh Cabral nor his supporters had ever envisioned that a capable, efficient and comparatively honest Minister holding PWD portfolio, would be replaced by someone who was never a BJP supporter nor ever was elected as BJP MLA. So, you can see that BJP's politics is like a strange animal where no one can foresee the unprecedented moves nor acts that this strange animal would undertake. However everyone knew the Sword of Damocles would be hanging over the heads of each of the 8 ministers, but never such a peculiar decision, that a Catholic Minister should only be replaced by another Catholic person. No one ever thought that some sort of religious card would be played to settle such a prickly issue. I wonder how Aleixo Sequeira is feeling that another Catholic had to be made a sacrificial lamb to accommodate him in the Goa Cabinet?
