Goa’s December celebrations went off on full swing despite everyone knowing that the presence of Omicron demanded the exact opposite. Goa’s propaganda harbingers of a ‘new dawn’ took enough precautions in their regional State yet did not seek to protect locals here. Just like their Griha Laxmi scheme which in Goa is ‘open ended’ for all unlike the Griha Bhandar scheme in Bengal which protects the locals there. As did Delhi. Why were they silent when it came to Goa? See the horrific garbage strewn beaches on NY day! Congratulations to all our collectors for this ‘annual NY gift’ . Can today’s civilized citizens be treated to this kind of crap? It means that the ‘new’ regional parties of Bengal and Delhi will dish out the same fare!
Question for Goans hoping for a ‘new dawn’: had the MGP, along with some of the then Congress MLAs who themselves say they were game, formed the 2017 Govt here, could they have gone to Bengal, poached the Trinamool Congress leaders there and contested the Assembly elections? Or in Delhi? What would the locals reception be? Somebody is playing a big hoax and people are shamefully falling for the same!
