Practically every English daily sensationalises in graphic details gory accident scenes and the victims. The passersby too record the scene and publish it in the social media. The stretch of NH 66 from Canacona to Cuncolim is naturally prone to serious accidents. It should have been the priority as it is less populated and urgent. Instead the emphasis is placed on where roads are in far better shape. Conditions of the roads contributes very significantly to accidents more than any other factors.
