Congress is doomed to die if it does not reform

The over-a-century-old party, which was in power at the Centre and in various states for a major part of the 75 years of India’s Independence, has gone into a state of deep coma in the last seven years. Congress party is in its worst position in history and seems unable to revive itself. Congress failures are due to political mismanagement. Many Congress stalwarts who could win a good number of seats have either left the party to join the BJP or withdrawn into a shell and nowhere seen in public. Congress neither has a future nor can it give a future to Indians. The Congress does not have a clear leadership and many leaders are vying for the top slot which adds to the troubles. Congress is now faced with an existential crisis. It must implement drastic organisational reforms beginning with the dethroning of the Gandhi family and re-instituting inner-party democracy.
