Dabolim flyover must be built in phased manner

In a sudden plan, the government has decided to divert the route from Dabolim to residential areas due to flyover construction at Dabolim. The residences of Dabolim and Vishal Mega Mart, Jairam Nagar objected to the said diversion as there will be more traffic congestion on the residential routes if heavy vehicles are diverted. The locals also met the officials and gave a memorandum to stop the diversion as the locals will get affected and in case of medical  emergency, ambulances will not reach the patients. The local have demanded to scrap the idea of diverting the said route. The only option for Vasco citizens travelling to Margao is Cortalim route but on other side we have Vasco people travelling to Zuarinagar and Dabolim, for them there has to be solution. The six months closure of said route will affect all school buses, local workers, small traders, hawkers. Those going to Airport  will have to take  Cortalim route instead of Verna route to reach in time. The present  service road condition is bad and one can still see potholes. The only alternative is to construct flyover in a phased manner to avoid diversion.
