Do not shun Covid +ve people, help them

It is sad and shocking to see that the virus had spread all over Goa. Cases are increasing by the day and we are losing our loved ones.

As flights from many countries are cancelled, many Goans cannot even come home to say adieus to their loved ones.

Countries around the world have rallied in support of India, but still essential items like oxygen, beds, vaccines are in short supply.

It is reported that in private hospitals the vaccine will cost 1,350. Will the poor afford this? Why cannot the government step in and rationalise the price of vaccines across the State?

Those who are Covid positive are being shunned not only by friends and neighbours but also their own family. Nobody wants to come forward and help them in this hour of crisis for the fear of getting infected.

It is time we understand that all of us one day will be affected by this virus. Family and friends must reach out to Covid positive people by at least sending food and other supplies to their houses.
