During the ongoing Ganesh Chaturthi holidays some advertisers managed to erect their billboards along the Santa Cruz-Bambolim highway road. Such huge advertising boards spoil the green landscape of the state when they are recklessly permitted by the local authorities or by government departments which have overlooked the order of not erecting billboards along the highways. Goa is a tourist destination for sea and beaches but it is now being seen as Macau or Las Vegas with a horde of casinos. All the roads have billboards advertising casino operators. Don't we have anything better to showcase for the tourists?
