Does the Transport Minister have any accountability?

It’s now almost every day we hear of deaths/fatalities on Goan roads, and it’s disappointing to see Goa’s Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho appear unconcerned about this unprecedented rate of accidents.  

With responsible governments in other progressive places, the Transport Minister would have taken immediate action to address such serious matters, but in Goa, this attitude is seriously amiss, as competence/genuine interest for the job does not appear to be a qualification for Goan MLAs to be ministers in the government.  

Is the Goa Chief Minister of the so-called “double engine Govt” really happy with this MLA heading the Transport Ministry? Why is the Transport Minister not made accountable for all the serious issues of road accidents/deaths on Goan roads?
