Don’t castigate choice of food by individuals

The press gives widest publicity to the utterances of politicians, as it makes eye catching  headlines. Every word  that comes out from them is lapped up as news worthy  and  pearls of wisdom foisted on the readers. Some don the mantle of dietician  and advice as to what snacks like pizzas or burgers are healthy. The point is indirectly promoting nationalistic items as superior and healthier and  castigating the free choice of food by individuals. It should be left to individuals to make free choice of food and not be  dictated to by politicians.

Of late many others have expressed their sentiments and crude warning about wearing of jeans, dress and other western outfits, use of mobiles, late outings as inviting rapes, eve teasing and other heinous offenCes against females. Doubtless to say that many women in sari, salwar have not been spared by lascivious brutes and beasts. It is sad and abhorrent that politicians are assuming the role of expert advisers of diet, outfits and the likes. It is a veiled attempt at Talibanisation of Indian women in this free country.
