Political tourists and an attempt to polarise voters. This title of your editorial says it all. Goa is known for tourism but now there is what you call political tourism.
Yes, that is what Goa politics is turning out to be, with political parties from outside the state pitching their tent in Goa. The more, the merrier? Doesn't sound good!
Polarisation of voters, well that has been working in our country since the past couple of years. Polarisation on the basis of caste, community, religion, language, etc, all this seems to work in politics.
The question is, how long should we put up with this state of affairs in our country. The British used the divide and rule policy for their own interests and now we have our own countrymen using this same policy for their own selfish interests.
It's time all citizens wake up, not just for the elections in Goa but in the interests of the entire country.
