Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had assured us that the roads across Goa would be free of potholes by November 1 but our roads in Ribandar continue to be in an extremely deplorable state. During the CCP elections in March this year, MLA Babush Monserrate had promised that our roads would be repaired soon but it has been a fake assurance just like our sham Health Centre after assuring us that it would be a 30-bedded state-of-the-art medical facility.
Ribandar may be part of Panaji city but as far as overall development and civic amenities are concerned we remain utterly neglected and in a decaying state despite the very high municipal taxes we pay. Even some of the remote villages in Goa are much better off. Ribandar has for decades been demanding a football ground, a community hall and a proper market but these long standing demands of Ribandarites are yet to be fulfilled. We do not have a children’s park or a garden nor a public library and there is lack of proper sanitation with poor garbage management. We have been duped and taken for a ride with tall promises for far too long.
