It is the routine job of the electricity departments to see that all the lights are in a working condition but it is sad to see that the street lights on the main roads and internal roads of Chandor Cavorim village are not in a working condition for months. After contacting electricity department, they said the faulty LED lights are sent to Margao department which is than taken to Pune for repairs and after this long process they will replace the street lights in the village of Chandor Cavorim and that's if the crane of the electricity department is available. People of Chandor have written complaints about street lights months ago on both the complaint log books at Panchayat office and at Electricity sub office, Guridolim, but till today no action has been taken. This is how our system works in Goa.
Request our Power Minister Sudin Dhavalikar and the Electricity departments to look into this matter and solve the problem soon as possible. If they cannot solve this issue than they can resign from their posts. Line men don't even have proper tools as they have to take risks while working on heights.
