After a case of police brutality was exposed by a worker in Kundaim IDC in January 2023 then the nexus of police and a thief which the Goan Varta exposed, later an MLA of AAP brought up the issue of irregularities of a police constable in the Assembly. Another incident of police constable who manhandled a food joint owner at Marcel and now a lady PSI of Margao police station has a case registered against her in connection with the suicide of a senior advocate Jayant Prabhu. There are many unreported cases of unethical behaviour of police where I also was a victim which I reported the case in all forums but to no avail. I had to withdraw the case at a later stage as I had no video evidence as the PSI forcibly removed the mobile from my pocket but the former DGP Aslama Khan came to my rescue and finally the PSI was asked to tender explanation for his unethical behaviour. If the man in khaki does a grave mistake against the law of the land he should be reprimanded and penalised, and he should be dismissed from service.
