The amazing and overwhelming response of the people of Ribandar and the neighbouring villages for a much needed and long overdue fully fledged Health Centre at the Old Ribandar Hospital has struck a chord with the people of Goa and even our Goans overseas.
The spontaneous and unanimous unity, passion, zeal, determination and enthusiasm, displayed by the people to stand up and impress upon government the importance and urgency of their health needs and to protect lives is very compelling and commendable.
Their unique actions brought to life the wise words of Oscar Wilde who said “If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing well; If it is worth attaining, it is worth fighting for; if it is worth experiencing, it is worth putting aside time for.’’
We hope and pray that these tremendous efforts by the people will receive the continued full support and positive actions of those in power, who have a duty to make their pleas a reality urgently.
