A fire hazard seems to be slowly in the works and in the close vicinity of a reputed and one of the most sought after schools in Comba, Margao. The non-used wooden and other dry items are dumped by the side and in between the electric panels near the school which could lead to outbreak of fires with just a spark required, thereby endangering the life of school going children and could also damage nearby property. The Electricity Department has overlooked this potential hazard in Comba, so also city fathers who happen to pass by this location almost every day. Immediate action is needed from the authorities and the Margao Municipal Council to clear electric panels of dumped dry material without waiting for any untoward fire breaking out.
