It must be said that a fire incident can cause loss of property worth lakhs and even crores of rupees depending on the magnitude. At times a fire incident can even cause loss of life.
Just recently a couple of shacks were destroyed in a major incident reported at a popular beach. Fire accidents bring a lot of misery as also huge monetary loss.
It must be said that time is of essence in putting off a fire before it spreads to a larger area. The fire engines from the fire stations may take some time to reach the spot where there is a major fire.
Several establishments, hotels, cinema halls, apartments, etc. do have fire-fighting equipment in order to put off small fires. But this may not be sufficient to fight a fire before it engulfs the entire area.
It hence seems prudent to park small capacity fire engines close to strategic locations like the market-place, temporary pandals put up for religious functions, beaches where there are shacks, malls and government offices.
