Goa’s biggest property expo was held on 2nd October 2024 in Delhi, showcasing villas, farmhouses, and plots available in Goa. Activists have criticised the government for facilitating land conversions and mega projects that damage Goa’s environment, with some calling for the resignation of the minister and officials.
Villagers from Sancoale also protested against projects by a real estate company. The opposition party has warned the government, emphasising the need for ecological balance, tree preservation, and limiting projects to those that respect Goa’s natural landscape.
