Saint Francis Xavier is a universal saint and is revered the world over. This year on occasion of the feast at Old Goa the hymn of Saint Francis Xavier is scheduled to be sung and will reverberate in the House of Commons in UK.
Fr Feroz Fernandes, ex-editor of "Vavradeancho Ixtt" a Goan weekly, will lead the choir, comprising mainly overseas Goans residing in Hounslow & Swindon.
It is learnt that the hymn will be allowed to be sung along with cultural festivities to mark the occasion at the House of Commons on December 4.
It is in recognition of the excellent work done by Goans who are employed in the UK.
In Goa, thousands of worshippers are thronging the novenas and the feast day will not be any different. Thousands of devotees have come down to Goa to seek the blessings of St Xavier.
