Goons now attacking free speech and expression

Shiv Sainiks attacked and vandalised a venue in Mumbai where one of India's leading comedians recently performed  one of his shows. An FIR was also filed against him based on a complaint by an MLA of the Shinde Sena. The Sainiks were supposedly aggrieved so much by Kamra's allusion to the Deputy CM of Maharashtra in his act that they have vowed to raise the matter in the Assembly and urged the Home minister to take punitive action. No such urgency is shown by politicos in tackling real issues like unemployment,  price rise, worsening pollution, falling living standards, social inequity, oppression of Dalits and what have you. The goons have also demanded that Kunal Kamra apologise to their leader within two days else he would not be able to move about freely in Mumbai (read lynched). Where is the right to free speech and expression and the people who are supposed to protect it ? In these turbulent times anything which extracts a laugh is welcome but India has gone to the dogs now, ruled by thugs who miss no opportunity to take mafia style action against perceived insults.
