There has been an outpouring of support from across the world protesting the Modi government's contentious farm bills. The rally of support even extended to the recent India-Australia ODI and Canberra Stadiums with the hashtag # "We support Indian Farmers -- No Farmer No Food".
After the spat with Canadian PM Trudeau, the United Nations too has joined the chorus of supporters defending the right of people to demonstrate peacefully while the government to salvage its image played it down by saying that it amounts to interference in the internal affairs of the country.
The national TV channels did not cover the rallies held in US, Canada and Australia and only dished out censored and lop-sided news.
It is hoped that in a similar vein, the European countries, United Nations and the international tourists who have made Goa their tourist destination will stand up against the three contentious projects of the central government against which there has been an uprising.
The government seems to be pursuing misplaced priorities thereby incurring the wrath of the people and making it a laughing stock at the international level.
