Hopefully Vasco revamp will be carefully planned

Vasco is set to get a complete makeover and the entire city will be revamped with beautified roads, proper drainage systems and even changes in traffic movement. Seems like it’s going to be a Dream City.

So, yet another Smart City project is in the offing. Learning from past experience, the Panaji Smart City Project for instance, one only hopes sufficient planning has gone into it and the project is completed within a specified timeframe.

Govt’s compensation for road accident victims inadequate

It is learnt that the state government will disburse a compensation of Rs 2 lakh each to the kin of those who lost their lives in road accident. The government has reportedly taken a decision to clear all the claims of the families of road accident victims and the file has been sent to the finance department for approval.The question that arises is whether the life of an accident-victim is worth only Rs 2 lakh.
