It is really surprising that citizens of another country, Nepalis, are obtaining Aadhaar cards in Goa using fake documents to prove their Indian nationality. To obtain an Aadhaar card, they are reportedly charged 4,000 to 5,000 rupees by agents, whereas we, the citizens of India, have to provide all original evidence and documents to prove our Indian citizenship.
What is more perplexing is how these illegal immigrants are obtaining police clearance. It seems that the main agent of this racket has good contacts with MLAs, ministers, and Aadhaar card department offices. It is shocking to see that more than 50 Nepali citizens are applying for Indian Aadhaar cards.
Somewhere, our country's system is being taken for granted, and this attitude shows that our Aadhaar cards are no longer secure and highlights the weakness of our government. Individuals from different countries are coming to India and becoming citizens by using fake documents to obtain Aadhaar cards, passports, and election cards, giving them voting rights.
Is our country's system safe? If such things are happening, India should be strong and vigilant because even terrorists can enter India and apply for passports and other cards by bribing the departments and agencies responsible for such criminal acts.
