The status of working women has improved compared to men, and according to the statistics released by the Labour Force, working women are ahead of men. This is evident from the overall statistics. Now this number has reached 49 per cent. Likewise, the number of salaried men has decreased. Especially, the number of salaried women in the service sector has increased significantly to 64.2 per cent. However, the unemployment rate of women has increased from 8.5 to 9 per cent. It is important to bring down this figure for economic empowerment of women. The decrease in the number of salaried men is somewhat alarming, because even today the mentality of earning men in India is the same. The number of women ahead of salaried men is effective in changing the mindset of male earners.
