Streetlight fixtures serve the basic purpose of providing illumination along the road during night time. However at many locations in the state we come across such fixtures missing over the electricity poles.
Hence travellers and pedestrians face inconvenience and trouble while proceeding along the concerned locations from time to time.
To cite an instance, fixtures over two electricity poles along the route leading from Tisk towards the sub-district hospital in Ponda have been found missing for quite some time.
Maintenance vehicles o the electricity department often proceed along this busy location. However the matter has remained unattended till date.
The higher officials at the electricity department in Ponda should take a note of above and initiate prompt favourable action in installing the missing fixtures.
