Is PWD Minister aware of his duties?

The PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral recently said his government cannot provide 24X7 PWD water to all of Goa! That’s it! Take it or leave it? No reasons given: Goa does not have enough water? Where is all the water being used? Mega projects? Whose Govt sanctioned the same? How is it that newly arrived migrants in mega projects get 24X7 water, including for their mega swimming pools, but not those living here since before Liberation? If potable water is deprived to any citizen in Goa, then it is the Minister’s duty to see that no PWD water is used to fill swimming pools or for gardening. This is not done: just no water for niz Goenkars only.

Emboldened by the silent, careless opposition MLAs and the public he now says that potholes in Goa cannot be repaired before the monsoons. One hopes he is not in charge of disaster management! One wonders whether the new government is aware of its duties or not.
