This refers to the news report ‘I-T dept survey on BBC continues’ with the income tax department raiding the British Broadcasting Corporation offices in Delhi and Mumbai under the pretext of conducting a survey.
What does the Modi government really think? That the BBC is another Indian news organisation and by raiding its offices, it can scare it’s management and someday also buy this global news channel just like NDTV through its blue-eyed boy Gautam Adani?
Well, I personally feel that these raids on BBC offices will definitely backfire on the Modi government sooner or later because the global audiences still prefer watching this particular news channel for it’s impartial, independent and fair news from around the world.
The BBC has definitely not done anything wrong by bringing out a documentary on Modi. It has only brought out the same old actual facts of Modi through a well-documented report.
I therefore personally feel think that by raiding the offices of a reputed news channel like BBC on flimsy reasons, the Modi government has finally exposed itself globally and has shown the world that it just does not cares for democracy in India.
