Rise in road accident cases

The accidents on Goan roads are increasing day by day and many death cases and grievous injuries  are on rise. The last one week saw as many accidents where couple list their lives at Harvalem and one was crushed after a lorry rams into road side grocery shop on Ponda-Panaji road.

In another accident on Wednesday night at Mapusa opposite Bodgeshwar temple a youth lost life when two bikes collided with each other. The number of vehicles on roads are increasing day by day and everyone is in a hurry to reach their destination, but in the process the unforunate things happen and one does not reach back at home.

One is required to follow all traffic rules and regulations along with  speed limits on roads and on highways. Today all the vehicles have speed  up to 120 kms on speedometer and one thinks he can ride to maximum  limit. The need of the hour is traffic discipline on roads and avoiding  overtaking of vehicles. There should be speed limit on roads and to be  followed strictly by all. It’s time that  ministry of Transport   implements some rule on vehicle manufacturers to come out with solution  of speed limits.
