When one looks into the history of Kala Academy crumbles, the issue and history starts in June 1975. The Building was completed and handed over to the government in November 1983. In June 16, 2019 - CCF hires R.G Pillai of IIT Madras to review GEC and GSIDC reports. In May 3, 2021 government appoints consultant TECTON, for repair and renovation work. Work commences soon after and there was no tender process.
In September 28, 2022 Directorate of Vigilance recommends to investigate allegations of corruption in repair. In August 8, 2022 “ Gaude conducts site inspection, though on November 20, 2022 renovation though incomplete a grand décor of the 53rd IFFI was erected. In October 20, 2022 Chief Minister Pramod Sawant denies a scam and says all procedures were followed granting renovation work.
