Goa’s own Liston Colaco could well be the next big name in Indian football. Liston is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Indian Super League club ATK Mohun Bagan and the India national team.
The young player scored a stunning hat-trick to help ATK Mohun Bagan rout Bashundhara Kings of Bangladesh 4-0 in the AFC Cup on Saturday.
He is one of the emerging players for India, having made his international debut under coach Igor Stimac in 2021 against UAE. A player who is more comfortable leading the attack, Liston can also play from the right wing.
Even while playing in youth tournaments, Liston would often end up being the top goal scorer for his team. His performance caught the eye of Hero ISL side FC Goa, who picked up the talented attacker in 2017.
