The Mandrem Morjim-Ashvem Citizens Committee on Noise Pollution of Pernem Taluka was constituted by the Bombay High Court in Suo Motto Petition 4 of 2006 along Bardez coastal villages. The Citizens Noise Committee which represent the citizens of Mandrem have denied receiving any complaint against loud music parties recently. The Members of Noise Committee of Mandrem ought to have taken suo moto cognizance and registered a complaint before the SDPO of Mapusa “ I as per the direction of High Court.
