The Goa Government’s move to seek the assistance of former union minister Suresh Prabhu to prepare an action plan to make our Goa a model state is a step in the right direction. This action plan which Suresh Prabhu hopes to prepare within a month will help Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in charting Goa’s future course. The very knowledgeable Suresh Prabhu is no stranger to Goa being a son-in-law of Ribandar. He has very successfully held various Cabinet positions while being a Member of Parliament for six terms, four times in the Lok Sabha and twice in the Rajya Sabha.
A proven hands-on person with a lot of diverse experience, Suresh Prabhu has to his credit an outstanding performance as Union Minister having held vital portfolios including Railways, Commerce & Industry, Power, Civil Aviation, Environment and Forest. The very soft-spoken and versatile Suresh Prabhu is a Chartered Accountant by profession and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). All his knowledge, expertise and accomplishments in various fields will undoubtedly be a blessing for our Goa.
