What a gory sight! It's like stripping somebody down to his basics in the street. That was certainly a distorted idea the civic authorities have about trimming. And I suppose, the civics authorities in Mumbai too share this distorted idea.
Yes, this is a familiar sight here in Mumbai. Nobody seems to care about the impact on the environment, the ecosystem in the region. Thousands and thousands of trees have been butchered in the name of infrastructure development. It's time the authorities get down to reality. 2050 is not too far away, when coastal cities are expected to go under water. Then, not even God can save us.
