Drivers applying for a badge to drive taxis will henceforth be put through a compulsory 15-day training course, according to Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho. Well, it looks like the minister must have signed a contract with one of his close friend's private school imparting training for drivers in the state with the sole intention of somehow making a few bucks for himself by giving his own silly justifications in Goa. Does anybody think that by merely sending drivers for 15-days training course who are applying for a badge, they can permanently teach these drivers discipline and how to behave with their customers or clients in Goa in future? This so-called 'discipline' is learnt at home and not in schools. So minister, please stop taking all the aspiring new drivers for a ride by simply misguiding and sending them for 15-days training course in the name of teaching them discipline.
