Monsoon Assembly session set to be stormy

The monsoon session of the state assembly  is headed to be stormy as many issues will be taken up by opposition leaders. The most likely questions are on Assagao house demolition, Kala Academy status, Smart City, disaster management in the state, Mhadei river, Tamnar project and also poor quality of highway, landslides, collapse of walls, etc. In the monsoon session various Bills are likely to be placed before the house and also Budget for the year 2024-25. As many as 2,800 questions are likely to be tabled. Two days back the North Goa witnessed issue of taxi operators at Mopa airport where Goa Miles driver was attacked by local taxi operator. The sensitive issue will have to be tackled as many have given their land for present airport. The government has to come out with solution to the thousands of taxi operators issue and also Dabolim airport where the flights are diverted to Mopa for operation of some international flights. AAP, Goa forward, Congress and RG likely to come out with the issues faced by people of  Goa . The ruling party has to be prepared and give right answers and solutions too.

Earlier in the 70s the yellow taxi cabs were packing their taxis with passengers and it used to be a shared taxi. The poor unreliable public transport system has created holes in the pockets of the middle class consumers.  If the hoteliers are giving the taxis owners an allotted space in their premises then a deal should be worked out between the owners of the hotels, taxis employed by the hoteliers and any terms and conditions offered to the customers who come to stay…
