It is indeed very nice to see the meaningful words at the entrance of GMC morgue which says 'Fear not I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand ".
But it is shocking to know that the bodies of Covid patients are kept along with the normal dead bodies in the same room at the mortuary.
Also, the freezers where the dead bodies are kept are often not in working condition. Rats are found freely roaming in the vicinity.
All this takes a toll on the staff employed at the mortuary and puts their lives at risk.
Hope the GMC authorities will do the needful in the interest of the public and their own staff.
