Allwill welcome the amended housing board rules that make 30 years stay in Goa arequirement to apply for tenement or plot of land. It is also helpful for OCIholders who intend to apply for a plot. But so far the story is that allthe land is taken away by non-Goans by taking advantage of the 15-year stayrule. The amendment and is a farcical gesture and clearly suggests that thosewho want plots or tenements will get it at faraway places. So non-Goans whoalready took the advantage of the 15-year rule must be laughing at this joke ofthe government. All the Comunidade land and housing board plots are taken awayand Goans are left with the garbage to construct their dream homes.
