No SIT will be set up to probe jobs scam

Singed by the job scam heat, our Chief Minister seems to have suddenly woken up from his slumber and announced that @ 2,000 recruitments shall be made in a transparent manner by the Goa Staff Selection Commission. This begs the question, why were the vacancies not filled by the government earlier. It is absolutely clear that an artificial scarcity of jobs was created so that the posts could be sold to the highest bidder through sarkari 'agents' many of whom are behind bars now. It is also certain that no SIT would be constituted for probing the job scam because a lot of skeletons would tumble out of the closet. Why, even a former CM and BJP office bearer has asked for an independent probe into the matter. He went so far as to say that the government has always ignored merit while filling 90% of jobs and that's a strong indictment right from the horse's mouth. Will things improve ? We doubt it. Public memory is short and soon the sarkar will engineer something to distract the janata's attention.
