The problem is that achievements-wise PM Narendra Modi has been a big zero with rampant inflation, a high unemployment rate, making our farmers beggars by giving them Rs 500 per month and making a big hullabaloo about it. BJP has been trying to divert peoples attention by whipping flames of religious fundamentalism and faux nationalistic sentiments. Moreover the voter turnout during the first three phases of elections has been low. This means that the committed voters aligned to specific parties will determine who wins which maybe the BJP perceives as not advantageous to them. Thus you would have seen a noticeable shift in Modi's and the BJP electioneering plank, from 400 paar to Modi guarantees to whipping up a communal agenda for which the Congress manifesto came in handy to twist and malign. You see Modi changing suddenly against his billionaire industrialist friends like Adani & Ambani. It was a gaffe definitely but probably left the A's a bit wary or it could have been a Gujjubhai internal joke that I will attack you in public but privately keep sending me the tempo loads of cash, or else! Thus all in all we are in for a nerve wracking finish as we approach June 4.
