It was sad to learn that Good Friday services in the UAE were cancelled due to the bombing of several sites in and around Dubai. Christians in the UAE, as a result, were therefore compelled to stay indoors and hear the church services on Good Friday online.
On the other hand, during the Good Friday services in Goa, the Church offered prayers for several people during the Prayers of the Faithful, which included the Pope, the bishops and priests, leaders, people of other faiths, the unbelievers, the Jewish people and others, totalling 10 in number, but unfortunately not for Donald Trump and a cessation of war in the Middle East.
Very sad that bombings still continue even during the Easter week, when people are dying in the Middle East, while our Christian faith tells us to rejoice in the new life given to us by Jesus Christ through his resurrection from the dead.
