Pilgrimage to Vailankanni could work wonders

This is with reference to the news report 'Pilgrims embark on journey by  Vasco-Vailankanni Express' (TGE , May 7 ). Secondly, it is not known whether the trip was sponsored by some well wishers , but the question remains as to how many of us would refuse such a godsend. Finally, prayers as we know are known to work wonders.  We in Goa have been praying every day at masses and holy hours for the wisdom to select secular representatives who will work for the welfare of the people and the country and to protect the sacred Constitution  and democratic values that are being currently eroded. And what better way than a pilgrimage to the shrine of the  miraculous Our Lady of Vailankanni, who is known to work wonders?
