It is surprising that many are raising eyebrows about Ambani wedding related expenses as naked and vulgar show of wealth. Ambani is free to use his own legitimate resources as he wishes. Everyone of us does the same and we do not dampen our spirits, entertaining lofty thoughts because of poverty of others. Citizens on the contrary should vociferously protest against vulgar display of power and waste of public money for inaugurations and celebrations, birthdays, at public cost. They should condemn the lifestyles, freebies, tax free pensions, salaries self bestowed by new kings called politicians. It is not commensurate with average, common Indians and which is highly deplorable. The celebrations by Ambanis provide a lot of employment and income for commerce and to those engaged to provide facilities. Everyone can allot percentage of income for welfare of less fortunate at orphanages, destitute children, old age homes, etc and those who prescribe must first show by their own example instead of casting aspersions on bonafides of charity. Many industrialists, organisations, establishments run hospitals, institutions, charities extend educational grants voluntarily as part of social responsibility.
