The people living in the coastal belt of North Goa are faced with the late night music blasted at the tourist spots of Anjuna, Vagator and Morjim. The Govt and Goa State Pollution Control Board are on board to keep the noise pollution under check but with the help of the Anjuna Police station. Some high profile restaurants throw to the winds all the rules and regulations and don't even care for orders passed by the High Court of Bombay in this regard. How can this matter of noise pollution continue 24x7 for 365 days just to please tourists who came to Goa to have a gala time that is disturbing the peace and sleep of the senior citizens, the sick and young. Will the Human Rights Commission intervene or do we need more people to come on the streets to block roads as then only the police will act. It's high time the public file a case in the high court against the police who have failed to uphold the court's order of monitoring noise pollution in these areas and the court should get these officers terminated from service.
