If there is one thing Modi shall be remembered for after he is gone, it is his legacy of hate. People hating each other for no reason is the new normal, so deep has communal venom been injected by him and others of his ilk. In all his roadshows funded with taxpayer's money he rants about Hindu-Muslim, mandir-masjid, kabristan-shamshaan, gai-gobar, Aurangzeb, Pakistan being shown it's place and other such bilge which his enthusiastic 'andh bhakts' lap up as the word of God. Instead of being a calming anchor in troubled times, the PM is steering Indians into a raging tempest of visceral animosity, otherisation, bigotry and hate. His meltdown is by design as things look bleak for his party this time around. During the past one year Modi has found time to make 162 visits within India, 14 official tours abroad and countless election rallies / roadshows but he still hasn't found time to visit a burning Manipur once. India has been pushed so far down the rabbit hole of loathing that a comeback to normalcy seems near impossible unless the people use their vote to bring back sense.
