For a party that talks of Stree Shakti and paying respect to women as well as protect them, the BJP seems to be mouthing empty words. In the allegation by a woman accusing Governor Ananda Bose in Kolkata of sexual assault, we have the BJP leader of the state claiming at this initial stage itself that the accusations are with political intent. Where one would have expected the functionary in line with his party's official line to side with the female victim and defend her, he seems to have decided to take on the role of judge and jury that there is nothing in the allegation. Similarly in the Prajwal & H D Revanna case in Karnataka of rape and sexual assault of multiple women, how could the BJP forge an electoral alliance with the JD(S) given such a background. Not only that Amit Shah being Home Minister connived to allow Prajwal Revanna to flee the country and then he has the temerity to accuse the Congress government in Karnataka for not acting quickly to arrest Prajwal in the rape case. This is the two-facedness of the BJP.
