For months together, a water valve pertaining to main water supply pipeline in the vicinity of Bakhale Motor Works along the Dhavali bypass road in Ponda has been noticed to be leaking. As a result, a large quantity of the much precious water has been going waste. Of course, we cannot waste the much precious water this way. Making the best use of available water supply has been the real need of the hour. I sincerely request the higher officials at the Public Works Department (Water Division) in Ponda to take a serious view of this important matter and initiate immediate practical steps to repair the existing leaking valve on priority basis so that further wastage of water ends permanently. Let us hope that needful would be done without any further delay.
