Respect Goan traditions: Let wedding music play till 11 pm

It is difficult to understand why the Goa Pollution Control Board and the government, including Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, continue to ignore Goan culture and traditions. Despite repeated appeals to extend wedding music timings from 10 pm to 11 pm, the government has failed to respond positively. Ironically, clubs are allowed to play loud music well past midnight without any objection, while the police harass families celebrating weddings. Music, dance and celebration are integral to Goan life and culture. The government must respect these traditions and permit wedding celebrations to continue until 11 pm.

Don't push projects which provide no local benefit

Goa is facing various issues related to projects and other issues. The main project objected to by the villagers of Chimbel is Unity Mall. The villagers are demanding the scrapping of the project, which they say will destroy the village and the natural lake there.
