I deeply value the unity among Opposition parties rallying against the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. However, the RGP, standing alone and setting conditions for its support within the India bloc alliance, appears shortsighted.
In these critical elections, the use of money power is evident, exploiting religious sentiments and youth activities to sway votes. The influence of money threatens to divide communities.
Yet, Goans are disillusioned by the RGP's reluctance to fully engage with the Opposition alliance, risking both their trust and resources.
Failure to unite may inadvertently secure BJP's victory, rendering emotional appeals futile. Fielding Lok Sabha candidates could prove detrimental for the RGP; instead, focusing on State and local elections seems wiser.
The RGP must heed the warning signs and cease internal bickering, as the specter of irrelevance looms. Now is the time for prudent decisions, not unwarranted attacks on well-meaning advice.
