Recently, the death toll in dangerous and adventure tourism has increased in Pune and other parts of Maharashtra. The events of the last few days are significant in this regard. A few days ago, two youth were killed after falling from a cliff of Hadbi near Manmad. A few days ago, a young man was killed in a landslide in Dhak Vihir area near Karjat in Aurangabad. Maharashtra has many forts, valleys, ghats, various sculptures, waterfalls, etc. Today, tourists are seen passing through many such places. Some of these can be dangerous. Sometimes thick fog, rain and slippery roads create danger in such places. Many people know the danger but ignore it. Despite the sign saying that the beach at Ganpati Pule is dangerous in some places, tourists run there and risk their lives. At the same time, many tourists risk their lives by taking selfies. Nowadays, according to the provisions of the state government's ordinance, organizations organizing adventure activities are required to register. The number of rescue operations has also more than doubled in the last four years. It is noteworthy that these volunteers work for free and have saved the lives of more than 900 people in the last five years or so. Instead of traveling alone, it should be done through organizations that carry out such adventure activities. Lifeguard instruments should be kept close. Selfies should not be taken in places of unnecessary danger. The only way to enjoy tourism is to take care of your life.
