During these seasonal rains, I went for a ride on my motorcycle in the city. I noticed there are sewage chambers installed at many locations but none are at the level. I noticed also some workers were on the job near CCP premises. These guys broke through asphalt of about 10 cms thickness to reach this chamber top cover. Nothing was found and they again went on breaking asphalt from more chambers and also nothing was found. Finally, they reached a chamber which they saw full of food stuff which got blocked somewhere and then turned into the reason of breaking asphalt all over these places.
This particular heavily filled chamber with the food stuff is from nearby restaurants. I took interest and waited to see what they are doing further. I told one of the Supervisor this is a rubbish attempt that has resulted unnecessary breakage of the good new asphalt at so many chambers. This is the fault of chambers not being at proper level installed initially. Can the CCP plan in future to install chambers at least in proper level or find some better solution so that there is no need to break new asphalting?
